Find Christmas in Truro 

Truro transforms from late November when the Christmas Market fills Lemon Quay with wooden chalets selling local crafts, seasonal treats, and gifts from Cornish artisans. Late night shopping  starts on Wednesday 26th November and runs throughout December, while on Wednesdays & Saturdays there will be street markets on Boscawen Street. Don’t forget to visit Truro’s vibrant array of both high street and independent shops and not forgetting the two indoor markets, Lemon Street Market & Pannier Market.

The Father Christmas Parade makes a return and children can meet Father Christmas  himself at the Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery.  With Truro Cathedral towering over the festivities, it’s a proper Cornish Christmas celebration.

  • Cards for Good Causes – The Cards for Good Causes Pop-Up Shop Returns to Truro Library. Back by popular demand! From early October right up until Christmas Eve, Truro Library will once again be home to the Cards for Good Causes pop-up shop, your one-stop destination for festive giving that really makes a difference.
  • Truro Christmas Market – Friday 21st November – Wednesday 24th December 2025  – The Truro Christmas Market brings together the very best of Cornwall’s makers, producers, and festive traders. Cornwall’s biggest traditional Christmas market is bought to you by Cornwall Event Cabins & Truro Farmers Market.
  • Cathedral Christmas Market – Wednesday 26th – Saturday 29th November. Brought to you by the organisers of the renowned Fowey and Cornwall Christmas Markets, the new Cathedral Christmas Market promises a festive experience to remember. The event will feature 59 ‘Made in Cornwall’ stands showcasing the finest local gifts, crafts, art, and produce within the stunning setting of Truro Cathedral.
  • Wreath Making Workshop with Tregarrian Flower Farm – Sunday 23rd & Sunday 30th November.  New for 2025, Truro Christmas Market introduce a new element to their popular market. Learn how to craft your very own festive wreath using beautiful dried flowers, grasses, and natural materials gathered from Tregarrian Flower Farm. Booking in advance.
  • Boscawen Street Christmas Markets – Saturdays & Wednesdays from 22nd November – 20th December & Monday 22nd December . Enjoy the Boscawen Street Christmas Markets, where Cornwall Shop Small traders and Truro Farmers Market fill the city centre with festive stalls every Wednesday and Saturday. Discover local crafts, seasonal produce, and unique gifts in the heart of Truro.
  • Late Night Shopping – Wednesday 26th November – Wednesday 17th December & Monday 22nd December . Every Wednesday many of our national & independent shops will be open until 9.00pm with Monday 22nd December as an extra late night for last minute presents.
  • The Father Christmas Parade – Returning on Wednesday 26th November, the Parade inspired by Hall for Cornwall’s Christmas Show Aladdin, will feature Father Christmas in his sleigh, elves, local dance groups, musicians, and circus performers. Bought to you by Truro BID, sponsored by Coode Solicitors.
  • Aladdin – This Christmas, Cornwall Playhouse Productions brings you Aladdin a magical Cornish pantomime adventure where wishes come true! Starring Edward Rowe (Kernow King) as Widow Twerkey, this fresh take on a timeless tale is packed with heart, laughter and songs the whole family will love.
  • Father Christmas at Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery – Wednesday 10th December – Wednesday 24th December – Meet Father Christmas at the Museum in Truro and enjoy a magical festive experience for all the family. Children can share their Christmas wishes and take home a special memory from this seasonal favourite. Tickets now on sale,  click here for more information.
  • New Years Eve Fireworks – Wednesday 31st December . Truro’s New Year’s Eve fireworks promise fun for all ages, with an early display at 7.30pm for families and a spectacular midnight show to ring in 2026. Gather in the city centre and celebrate the start of the New Year in true Truro style.
