Exciting plans are underway to transform Truro’s Boscawen Street.

Truro’s Healthy Streets group, led by Truro City Council, Truro BID and Cornwall Council, are working to make the street more accessible to all parts of the community. A 12-month trial will begin on Monday 19th July, when the first phase will be introduced.

The phase includes the introduction of 24 hour restricitons on through-traffic entering Boscawen Street.

Access will be limited to emergency vehicles, blue badge holders, buses, taxis, cyclists, and those loading/unloading.

The carriageway will be narrowed to allow more space for pedestrians and cyclists.

There will be a series of consultations within the city centre to gather the views of the public. Details of dates and times will be confirmed in due course.

You can submit feedback of the scheme via the Healthy Streets Truro section on the Let’s Talk Cornwall site, which you can access here, or you can email direct to healthystreets@truro.gov.uk
