Join us in Our Great Little City this April to hop into the Easter Holidays, filled with fun adventures for all ages.

Events & Exhibitions:

Easter Egg Hunt at Trelissick
28th March – 19th April
Visit Trelissick and take part in the fun Easter Egg Hunt! They need your help this Easter, as the Cornish piskies have been causing mischief by hiding Easter eggs around the gardens. Follow the clues and activities to find them! The trail will take place daily from 10.00am – 5.00pm, with last entry at 4.30pm. Come along and explore the beautiful gardens of Trelissick, just a short drive from Truro city centre.

Cornish Myths & Legends Exhibition at Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery
31st March – 1st November
Step into a magical exhibition inspired by the old fireside stories of Cornish folk. Through famous and lesser-known tales, Cornwall Musuem & Art Gallery invite you to explore the lore of this land. Designed for all ages, interactive moments include a story corner, potions cabinet and magical dressing-up box, while an accompanying events programme dives deeper into the Cornish otherworld.

Victoria Gardens Easter Trail
3rd – 19th April
The popular Easter Trail returns to Victoria Gardens from Good Friday 3rd April to Sunday 19th April 2026, offering a free, family-friendly activity throughout the Easter holidays in Truro. This self-led Easter trail invites children and families to explore Victoria Gardens in search of hidden Easter bunnies. Boscawen Park Easter Trail
3rd – 19th April
Brand New for 2026 – Truro City Council will also be running its popular Easter Trail at Boscawen Park, along with the Victoria Gardens trail, from Good Friday 3rd April to Sunday 19th April 2026, offering a free, family-friendly activity throughout the Easter holidays in Truro. This self-led Easter trail invites children and families to explore Boscawen Park in search of hidden signs. Each sign displays a letter; collect them all to reveal a special Easter phrase. The BIG Truro Market
Saturday 11th April
Join us for the BIG Truro Market on Lemon Quay from 9.00am – 4.00pm! Celebrate shopping small and local in the heart of Our Great Little City with around 60 stalls featuring indie makers, bakers, and producers.

Justin Live – Just in Time to ROCK at the Hall For Cornwall
Monday 13th April
Justin Time To Rock is a fabulous show suitable for all the family. Come and see CBeebies’ megastar Justin Fletcher live on stage, in an all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza packed full of well-known songs, lots of dancing, hilarious comedy and plenty of rocktastic fun!

Tregothnan Private Garden Open Weekend
18th & 19th April
For one delightful spring weekend, Tregothnan will open its private gates. Step into over 100 acres of Cornwall’s finest botanical garden, where sweeping vistas, peaceful riverside glades and hidden woodland paths await. With a fabulous food court and entertainment throughout the weekend, plus free entry for children aged 18 and under, this is the perfect family adventure in one of Cornwall’s most celebrated gardens.

Truro’s parks are perfect for some fresh air and family fun. Here’s some to get you started:

  • Hendra Playing Fields – A great place to play featuring a skate park, playing field, and play equipment, all situated just behind Victoria Gardens.
  • Victoria Gardens – A hidden gem in the heart of the city, with a beautiful selection of trees, shrubs, and flower beds – perfect for your little one to tune in with nature. The Gardens are open daily from 08.00 until dusk (weather permitting).
  • Boscawen Park – Come and explore the fun play area, as well as tennis courts and Café in the Park. This is also the perfect place for small children to cycle, scoot and enjoy the open spaces!

Experiences & Rainy Day Activities:

  • Enigma Escape Cornwall – Work together to solve puzzles and escape before time runs out.
  • Plaza Cinema – Sit back and relax while you catch the latest blockbuster on the big screen.
  • Player Ready Virtual Reality – Experience immersive PC virtual reality games, zombie adventures, and escape rooms. Played standing for full freedom of movement and suitable for a range of ages.
