The Alverton’s Ruby Anniversary Weekend

2024 marks 40 years since we first opened The Alverton’s old oak doors to welcome in guests from near and far for a relaxing stay at our oasis on the hill. This September, you’re all invited to join us in celebrating our hotel’s milestone anniversary weekend, either at The Ruby Ball or by opting for The Ruby afternoon tea.

The Ruby Ball

On Saturday 7th September, the crown jewel of our hotel – The Great Hall – will be dressed to impress for our dazzling Ruby Ball. Dust off your red ensembles – from scarlet and vermilion, to crimson and cherry – as we want to see everyone dressed in their favourite shade of red.

A decadent affair from the get-go, arrive in style with our special “Ruby’s Pearl” anniversary cocktail served next to an irresistible strawberry and chocolate fountain. The food for the evening doesn’t stop there, as our Executive Chef Nick Hodges will be serving an exclusively curated four-course menu. Finish the evening with drinks and dancing, with live music from local favourites Falmouth Soul Sensation.

Tickets are £75 per person and include your entry to The Great Hall, arrival cocktail, strawberries and chocolate fountain, four-course dinner, and live music from our band until late.

The Ruby afternoon tea

If you’re unable to attend our grand dinner party in Cornwall, but still want to celebrate with us, we’ll be serving our Alverton afternoon tea with a Ruby twist – exclusively throughout September.

Tuck into a treasure trove of sweet and savoury treats, balanced elegantly on three tiers served with hot pots of Cornish loose leaf tea. We’ll be serving The Ruby afternoon tea in our restaurant, for the ultimate high tea experience in Cornwall.
