Songs for The Ship is a concert of popular and original songs, sung and played live in the lovely Church in Portloe by Sid, Sarah and Tim who are all local musicians.
Sid and Tim play soulful acoustic music with a passion for both writing and performing original material and arranging original versions of some timeless songs you will recognise.
Sarah completes the musical trio with some magical melodies and words, hand-picked from the heart and backed by her beautiful guitar picking style. The mis is completed with rich harmony as the trio put their sound together during the set.
The Ship Inn in Portloe is running the event and the musicians are performing to raise funds to help the on-going effort to get the pub running smoothly and into the future. The pub is a short walk up the road from the venue, the church. It is an important meeting place for both residents and people who holiday in the village – a lifeline for the community and a welcome stop for coast-path walkers. Help save our Ship!
The Ship Inn will be running a bar during the evening and refreshments will be available before, during and after the performance.
