Looking for ways to keep the whole family entertained this February half term? Truro is packed with brilliant activities, delicious food spots and fun experiences to enjoy, whatever the weather. Here’s our guide to what’s on in the city: (Note – we’re still adding to this guide, so be sure to come back soon!)

 

Golf Simulator Experiences

New for 2026, Truro is now home to two exciting TrackMan golf simulator experiences – perfect for all abilities.

  • VS Golf, Newham – Ideal for sharpening your swing in a professional setting, complete with a premium bar and interactive darts.
  • The Green – A relaxed, city-centre venue combining four golf simulators with bars and social spaces for a more relaxed experience.

 

Food & Drink

Whether you’re refuelling between adventures or treating the family, Truro has plenty of food and drink to offer:

  • Mannings Bar & Restaurant – A great family-friendly option for lunch or dinner, now serving a new ‘Mini Mannings’ children’s menu featuring proper, delicious food for little diners.
  • Bread & Butter – Known for its delicious pancakes served all morning – the perfect half term treat.
  • Edison & Doyle – From 13th February – 26th April 2026, step into Edison’s Botanic Research Laboratory, a brand-new immersive overlay celebrating his plant experiments in 1927. Free entry (standard daytime menu applies). Visit edisonanddoyle.co.uk for full details.

 

Half Term Art Trail at Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery

13th – 22nd February 2026

This February half term, Cornwall Museum and Art Gallery invites the next generation of creatives to find fresh inspiration. In partnership with Kids in Museums, enjoy Art School… In A Trail!

This free spotter trail guides families through the galleries, encouraging children and grown-ups to explore the art collection in fun, creative and unexpected ways. There’s something new to discover at every stop. Read more here.

 

Experiences & Rainy Day Activities

  • Enigma Escape Rooms: Open every day 9am to 8pm for half term from Friday 13th to Sunday 22nd Feb. 3 exciting puzzle room experiences to choose from! Can host 2 to 20 players at once across one or multiple rooms! Our experiences are suitable for ages 8+ (12+ for Fear of the Unknown) with adult supervision.   • Plaza Cinema – Sit back and relax while you catch the latest blockbuster on the big screen.
  • Player Ready Virtual Reality: Experience immersive PC virtual reality games, zombie adventures and escape rooms. Played standing for full freedom of movement and suitable for a range of ages.

 

Parks & Play Areas

If the sun makes an appearance, Truro’s parks are perfect for fresh air and family fun:

  • Hendra Playing Fields: A great place to play featuring a skate park, playing field, and play equipment, all situated just behind Victoria Gardens.
  • Boscawen Park: Come and explore the fun natural play area with swings, slides, and climbing equipment, as well as tennis courts and Café in the Park. This is also the perfect place for small children to cycle, scoot and enjoy the open spaces. Don’t forget to visit the duck pond opposite Trennick Mill!
  • Victoria Gardens: A hidden gem in the heart of the city, with a beautiful selection of trees, shrubs, and flower beds – perfect for your little one to tune in with nature. The Gardens are open daily from 08.00 until dusk (weather permitting).
