These internationally renowned gardens have a collection of rare trees and shrubs.  The gardens have been awarded three stars in the Michelin Guide to the South West and it is RHS recommended.

Trewithen means “house of trees” and with thirty acres of surrounding parkland the name couldn’t be more appropriate.

  • Tickets available to order in advance (not mandatory, but advised) – book via this link
  • Disabled access available around majority of the garden

  • Dogs on lead welcome

2023 Opening times


Daily:  10.00 – 16.30 from Wednesday 1st March until Saturday 30th September

(Walled Garden: open daily as part of the Silent Space initiative)

Card payments only.

Trewithen House

Open from Monday 24th April to Wednesday 28th June, Sunday – Tuesday inclusive.

Two guided tours will be running per day at 14.00 and 15.00.

On arrival please go to the Ticket Office at the entrance to the gardens.

They also offer a combined ticket for £20 which gives you access to the Gardens for the full day of your tour.

Tea Shed

Open daily from Wednesday 1st March until Saturday 30th September, between 10.00 and 16.00.
