Penelewey Tours creates immersive, self-guided audio tours that help visitors explore Truro and Cornwall’s coastal towns through storytelling, local history and a strong sense of place.

Truro Cathedral Audio Tour

Discover the stories held within Cornwall’s cathedral on this self-guided audio tour, available to purchase on entry at Truro Cathedral (£5).
Created specifically for the building and its visitors, the tour guides listeners through the cathedral’s architecture, artworks and hidden details, revealing the people, beliefs and moments that shaped this remarkable space. Visitors can explore at their own pace using their own phone and headphones, guided throughout by the narrator’s voice.

Self-guided audio walking tours

Alongside the Cathedral tour, Penelewey Tours offers a collection of self-guided audio walking tours across the South West, available through the VoiceMap app. Each tour is professionally researched and narrated, allowing visitors to explore independently while being guided by location-aware audio.

Penelewey Tours is created and narrated by Becky Frost, a Truro-born tour creator, with her own voice guiding visitors through each tour. Rooted in local knowledge and lived experience, the tours offer a local voice for local heritage, helping people connect more deeply with the places they are exploring.

Useful to know:

Please wear appropriate footwear, as tours involve walking on uneven surfaces, public streets and sometimes the South West Coast Path.
All tours are approx. 1 hour long
Some hills and steps depending on geography of the tour – check the tour ‘Tips’ and description before buying
Download your tour in advance using Wi-Fi where possible.
Once downloaded, no mobile data is used while walking, data is only required at the point of download.
Outside tours are GPS triggered so you can put your phone away and immerse yourself in the audio
Indoor tours are voice directed
Remember to bring your own headphones for the best listening experience.
