Truro School Community Day Returns with Festival Fun for All
Saturday 20 June 2026
12 midday – 9pm
Truro School is delighted to welcome the wider community to its annual Community Day on Saturday 20 June 2026, promising a vibrant festival-style celebration packed with entertainment, performances and family fun.
Open to everyone, Community Day brings together pupils, staff, families, alumni and local residents for a day of live music, fun activities, food, entertainment and community spirit across Truro School.
Building on the success of last year’s event, visitors can enjoy a packed programme of performances on the Main Stage throughout the afternoon. The entertainment continues into the evening with a Family Silent Disco, a special Truro School Showcase and a headline performance from popular funk and soul band, Groove Diggers.
Alongside the live performances, families can take part in a wide variety of activities suitable for all ages. Adventure seekers can test their skills with climbing and archery sessions delivered by Vertical Blue, while colourful circus workshops from Cirk Hes and Hotch Potch Performance offer opportunities to learn new tricks and skills.
Adding to the festival atmosphere will be roaming entertainment from mathematical magician Jon Martin Magician, as well as street performers, buskers, live music acts and community showcases taking place across the campus throughout the day.
One of the event’s most popular attractions, the Little Eden Entertainment Bounce Parc, will once again transform the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre into a giant inflatable fun zone. A dedicated SEN and Toddler session will be held before the main event opens, ensuring an inclusive experience for younger visitors and those who benefit from a quieter environment.
Guests will also be able to browse a range of artisan stalls, enjoy displays, swimming pool inflatables, treasure hunts and many more family-friendly activities.
A wide selection of food and drink will be available throughout the day, including traditional Cornish pasties, BBQ favourites, pizza, street food, cakes, ice cream, candy floss, popcorn and hot and cold refreshments. From 5pm, additional street food vendors and bar facilities will be available as the event transitions into an evening celebration.
Community Day is FREE to attend but please note, some activities are chargeable.
