At Royal Cornwall Museum Saturday Club, members work with practising artists and designers. Weekly classes include drawing, printmaking, ceramics, life drawing, jewellery, textiles, sculpture, photography and animation. Previous Masterclass tutors have included: Anthony Frost, Bob Deveraux, Peter Randall-Page, Jim Le Fevre and ‘Fixperts’.
In 2019/20, the Club eagerly engaged with an interesting programme of world art practices, from Islamic art to cave paintings, and created work inspired by issues such as pollution. The group learnt some fascinating crafts and were inspired by the museum’s collections and exhibitions.
Club members have the opportunity to complete Arts Award and also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!
The club is aimed at 12 - 16 year olds
Starting Saturday 2nd October with an informal introduction session.
