Sunday 10th November 2019 Services at the Cathedral & Boscawen Street War Memorial 

  • 10.00am  - Eucharist for Remembrance Sunday.  During this poignant and reflective service we will remember all those lost through war and conflict. The service will incorporate the two-minute silence which will be marked by the tolling of the cathedral bell..

  • 2.00pm - Wreath laying at the war memorial followed by the Civic Procession to the cathedral for the annual remembrance service 

  • 3.15pm  - Royal British Legion Service of Remembrance.  The Royal British Legion honours their fallen comrades with a special service .  Standards will be paraded into the Cathedral and poppy wreathes laid at the foot of the war memorial on Boscawen Street.  The last post will sound once the evocative words from Laurence Binyon's poem "For the Fallen" have been read out.
