Philleigh Folk Club Presents Du Glass
“Wonderful vocals and musicianship and an amazing stage presence, Du Glas should never be missed” – Steve Appleby – Cornwall Folk Festival
Songs of miners, mutiny and murder; starvation, sirens and smugglers, that’s what you get when you leave this bunch of Cornish renegades alone with a load of wood, strings and drum skins for too long!!
Du Glas offer their own brand of original roots music, combining influences from Americana and British folk-rock (and whatever else takes their fancy at the time). Their energy, humour and love of gin has incited such madness that audiences have thrown away their pints, danced in a downpour and bounced on the bar like a Bruckheimer film (you know the one we mean). You’ll be a fool to miss it!
Since 2016 the band have been rocking their way across the south of England including Wimborne Folk Festival and Chickenstock. They haven’t neglected their homeland either, wowing crowds (if leaving them slightly shell shocked) at the Cornwall Folk Festival, the St. Ives September Festival, Penlee Park Open Air Theatre and the Acorn Theatre.
