The Light Party is our alternative to Halloween. How bright can you dress up ? It's a great evening for all the family with crafts, activities, games, music and stories ending with a hot dog and a wonderful fireworks display.

On Tuesday, November 5, head for The Plume of Feathers for a night of family fun. From 6:30pm, there will be a large bonfire roaring, plenty of food and a bar for a warm Cornish celebration. Fireworks will light up the night sky in style.
Nothing heralds the start of the fesitve season quite like the City of Lights, Truro's midwinter lantern festival. Come and see a dazzling procession of willow-stick-and-tissue lanterns; handmade by artists, schools and community groups, float through the city streets.

Father Christmas will be visiting Truro this year. The Royal Cornwall Museum will be hosting the man himself where they have created a sparkling grotto to coincide with Truro's late night shopping.
