Looking for free live music and outdoor events in Truro? Discover the Victoria Gardens Bandstand Concerts, a much-loved summer tradition bringing music to the heart of Cornwall’s only city.

Organised by Truro City Council, the free concert series takes place on Sunday afternoons between May and September, offering visitors and residents the opportunity to enjoy live performances in the beautiful surroundings of Victoria Gardens.

Set among colourful flowerbeds, mature trees and the peaceful atmosphere of this historic Victorian garden, the bandstand provides a wonderful setting for an afternoon of music. Bring along a chair, find your favourite spot in the gardens and settle in for an afternoon of music.

Throughout the summer, a varied programme of local Cornish musicians, traditional bands and singers takes to the bandstand, offering something for a wide range of musical tastes.

Whether you’re spending a weekend in Truro, enjoying a family day out or simply looking for a relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon, the concerts offer a lovely opportunity to experience live music in Our Great Little City.

Make the most of your visit with refreshments from Pollen, the café situated within Victoria Gardens. Whether you’re stopping for a coffee, a cold drink or something to eat, it’s a lovely way to complete a relaxed afternoon in the gardens.

The annual concert programme is published ahead of each summer season.

Concerts are weather-dependent, and Victoria Gardens may occasionally close during adverse weather conditions.

Any cancellations or changes will be announced through Visit Truro’s communication channels. For the latest updates, please check the Visit Truro Facebook page.
