On this occasion the event was pre-recorded and the shops weren't open. There’s plenty of time to enjoy Truro’s Christmas Lights whilst in town for shopping from Thursday 3 December, subject to the second national lockdown restrictions being lifted by the Government.

The City Centre Christmas Lights are funded and installed by Truro Businesses Improvement District (BID) via the BID levy contributions from around 400 Truro Businesses, along with donations from both Lionel and Carol Knight.
