More information:

With 6 acres of marshland and woodland with over 40 lily ponds and informal nature ponds all fed by natural springs.

Throughout the gardens you will find well stocked ponds brimming with hundreds of varieties of plants, from amazing water lilies and marginal plants to oxygenating and floating aquatic plants.

There are a number of seating areas for you to enjoy and watch the wildlife, including the resident kingfishers, moor hens and ducks.

Open all year daily from 10.00 – 16.00.  Due to the weather it may be necessary to close the gardens in winter due to excess surface water and flooding on the paths.

Plant sales are available by appointment, or between 11.00 and 16.00 on weekends.

Please note: Penrose Kitchen has now closed.

Useful to know:

  • Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome
