The Market Inn, Lemon Quay

The historic Market Inn has reopened following a £550,000 restoration, supported by Star Pubs and the Truro Town Deal’s New Life for City Buildings Project. The Grade II listed building, next to the Hall for Cornwall, has been beautifully restored and returns as a dog and family-friendly traditional market inn.

Dating back to around 1900, its distinctive Dutch gable and Victorian tiled façade have been carefully preserved. Inside, original features have been reinstated alongside a traditional wooden bar, rich velvet seating, timber floors and a reclaimed fireplace, blending heritage charm with a welcoming atmosphere.

The Market Inn offers craft beer, cask ales, cocktails, soft drinks and fresh coffee, alongside regular live music, interactive quizzes and games, and Euchre card teams.

Opening daily: 11.00am – midnight
